Horizon ex-67 Elliptical Review
Machine: Horizon ex-67 Elliptical Trainer
Overview: The Horizon ex 67 Elliptical Trainer has a lot of features that are usually only found on high end elliptical trainers. One if its most enticing features is the pivoting foot plate that allows your foot to move naturally without adding unnecessary stress to your ankles or knees. This feature alone makes the Horizon Fitness ex67 an attractive buy. Horizon is also known for setting their step on height low in order to accommodate low ceilings as well as making getting on the elliptical easier. The Horizon Fitness EX-67 also boasts a fairly heavy 14lb flywheel which gives it a pretty smooth ride, especially when coupled with a magnetic break. The 18” footpath and narrow pedal spacing create a comfortable and natural stride that feels perfect for most users shorter than 5’11”. You can burn calories fast and efficiently with 10 levels of resistance and 13 challenging programs to choose from. Particularly for a Horizon elliptical, the ex57 features a nice LCD display. It also provides solid entertainment thanks to built-in speakers and an MP3 player input jack so your workouts stay fresh.

Thanks to its 14 lb flywheel the Horizon Fitness ex-67 elliptical feels fluid and runs quietly, especially for a machine that costs less than $1000. It offers 13 workout options to make sure your body doesn’t get used to the same old routine. Its built-in speakers and MP3 hook-up had a nice touch to keep your workouts from getting dull. Though it’s pretty common for Horizon machines, the low step on height is a nice touch not only in terms of safety, but because it accommodates low ceilings.
Although the console on the Horizon Fitness ex67 elliptical is more sophisticated than other models it doesn’t allow the option to enter weight and height so the calorie burn meter isn’t terribly accurate. Although only so much strength could be expected in a non-commercial elliptical it doesn’t hold up better than cheaper models, meaning the only things justifying the price are unessential details.
Considering the price, the Horizon Fitness EX67 elliptical boasts a rich set of features with a unique mix of flair, comfort and effectiveness. Of course it’s not a high-end powerhouse meant to withstand several hours of workouts every day, it’s not meant to be and it shows in the price.
