Strengths:
The Horizon ex-78 Elliptical Trainer provides the best workout Horizon has to offer with a long 20” stride length, 11 fitness programs and 20 levels of resistance. As always with Horizon ellipticals it sets itself apart from other brands with articulating footpads that reduce stress on the ankles and a low step on height that makes it easy and safe to get on and off. As one of the most expensive models, the Horizon Fitness ex78 Elliptical uses a high quality integrated Sonic Surround speaker system with an iPod/MP3 player port. Horizon also has taken a lot of care to determine the best handlebar spacing to accommodate almost any body type. Coupled with narrow pedal spacing and it provides a very comfortable fit. Between having a 300 lb weigh capacity and a heavy duty flywheel it’s a very stable and smooth elliptical trainer.
Weaknesses:
While it’s a pretty well built machine, the Horizon Fitness ex-78 elliptical has some adjustability issues. As compared to elliptical trainers in this price range from other brands it doesn’t have the most pre-programmed workouts.
The Skinny:
As the most expensive elliptical trainer in Horizon’s lineup it’s also one of the strongest. Overall the Horizon Fitness ex78 elliptical trainer is a great value with everything you need for a fun and effective home workout.
