LifeCore CD600 Review

Machine: LifeCore CD600 Elliptical

Overview: The LifeCore CD600 Elliptical was designed not only with stability in mind, but comfort. The center drive design puts the pedals only 2” apart and positions you upright, rather than leaning forward, while oversized cushioned pedals and ergonomically designed handlebars enhance comfort. Using magnetic resistance, the LifeCore CD600 Elliptical Trainer feels smooth and natural. As with most center drive elliptical trainers, it has a compact footprint that’s only 46” long. Featuring a 21” fixed stride, 20 resistance levels and 12 workout programs, it’s comparable to the CD400, but it sets itself apart with a higher weight capacity and better warranty. The impressive 350lb weight capacity means that it’s a higher grade machine, capable of aggressive use and the extraordinary 7 year parts warranty back that up. Get the most out of your workout with challenging programs like the Glute Buster and Speed Interval or design your own based on time, weight and age settings. As expected with LifeCore, the CD600 doesn’t include a lot superfluous gimmicks like speakers and MP3 player ports, because the focus is on quality manufacturing.

Strengths:
The center drive design makes it comfortable and convenient, with a short 2” pedal distance and a remarkably short 46” footprint. In addition to short pedal length the cushioned foot beds and ergonomically designed handles make a big difference during an intense workout. The included workout programs, coupled with the ability to customize your own ensure enough varieties to keep you from hitting a plateau. The heart rate chest strap is another feature preferred by most customers since it doesn’t interrupt the upper body workout like grips and it makes it easier to design workouts based on your target heart rate. The LifeCore Elliptical CD600 carries a great warranty, with the lifetime on the frame and 1 year on labor being pretty standard, 7 years on the parts is exceptional.
Weaknesses:
Anyone looking for high tech gadgets and features may be disappointed with LifeCore, since their focus is on higher quality construction. While the 21” stride length is impressive, it may not be comfortable for some users and it doesn’t offer any variation. However these are minor complaints and you won’t find any major gripes listed in a Lifecore Fitness cd600 elliptical trainer review.
The Skinny:
The LifeCore CD600 Elliptical Trainer review is pretty close to the LifeCore CD400 Elliptical as far as feature sets go, but the additional weight capacity and better warranty are worth the $300 price jump, especially for multiple frequent users or obviously anyone who requires a higher weight capacity.
