Overview: Another model in the NordiTrack commercial series, the NordicTrack A.C.T. Pro Elliptical shares some similarities with the A.C.T. Commercial, but with a few distinct improvements. For one, the overall strength of the machine is improved, as evidenced by the higher weight capacity of 350lbs. Another clear difference between the A.C.T. Commercial to the A.C.T. Pro is the improved quality of the sound system—upgrading from mediocre speakers to an Intermix Acoustics Sound System with a high end sub-woofer. It also has a better warranty, offering not only a lifetime frame warranty, and 1 year labor, but 2 years on the parts. One more improvement from the Commercial to the Pro is the jump from iFit card technology to the iFit Live capabilities. iFit Live improves on the concept of workout cards with a wireless internet connection that lets you connect to the iFit website and keep track of your workout data as well as access new workouts from a press of a button. The Nordic Track A.C.T. Pro Elliptical features a center flywheel design, offering a short distance between pedals and a stable design. Featuring an adjustable stride length of 18”-22” it makes a great machine for multiple users. Thanks to 20 resistance levels, 20 preset workout programs, and virtually infinite programs through iFit Live you’ll burn calories and build muscle fast without hitting a peak. The smooth magnetic resistance system and commercial grade steel frame give it a gym quality feel without an expensive commercial price tag.

The NordicTrack A.C.T. Pro has a center drive design with two flywheels on either side which some customers prefer because of the short gap between pedals and because it’s easy to step onto from the back. The weight capacity of 350lbs says a lot about its strength; the extremely strong design ensures its stability, especially for serious workouts. Another area where the A.C.T. Pro stands out of over other NordicTrack models is the 2 year warranty on parts as opposed to one.
Other than the extra year warranty on parts, the biggest difference between the A.C.T. and the A.C.T. Commercial is a higher weight capacity, an improved sound system and iFit Live capabilities. Depending on your needs, that may not be enough to justify the price difference.
The NordicTrack A.C.T. Elliptical review: this model is the best machine in NordicTrack’s commercial series with the latest technology. While calling it gym quality seems like an exaggeration, it’s a solid and safe machine with a lot of features. If you’re looking for a center drive home elliptical and extras like iFit Live and a good speaker system play an important role in your decision then the NordicTrack A.C.T. Elliptical is a clear choice.
