The NordicTrack 990 Elliptical provides fluid motion that feels natural thanks to a heavy flywheel. In general, the NordicTrack Audiostrider 990 Elliptical has a heavy build, especially for a home elliptical trainer under $1000. It outdoes most machines in this price range with 25 challenging programs so your workout never gets dull. Coupled with 16 resistance levels and a motorized incline ramp that goes up to 30 degrees the NordicTrack 990 Elliptical promises an intense cardio workout. The included speaker system and MP3 player port enhance the gym experience with entertainment. The Spacesaver design is another great perk, especially for small homes.
While any range in stride is welcome, 18”-20” isn’t an impressive range, especially since the longest stride requires that you use the highest incline— not a great feature for tall beginners. The heart rate monitor seems to have some mixed reviews in terms of accuracy, and most can agree that stopping your upper body workout to grab the monitor is inconvenient. Also worth noting, while Nordictrack Audiostrder 990 Pro may be considered a strength for tall users, shorter uses may find the wide set handlebars a bit difficult to maneuver.
